Amazon: The Best Choice for Sunrise.
We invite you to attend one of our upcoming community meetings to discuss Amazon’s plans for the approximately 128-acre property on the west side of Hiatus Road between NW 44th St. and NW 50th St. as shown in the location map below. We are preparing site plans for submission to the City of Sunrise for preliminary review.
Since acquiring the site in 2021, Amazon has been developing a new design that minimizes impact on surrounding neighborhoods. We have also incorporated many insights from the valuable feedback received during our 2021 meetings.
As part of this continuing development process, we are hosting a series of additional community meetings to gather more feedback. Please see our schedule of events for each area most impacted by the project.

Amazon is committed to building a facility that integrates into the community. We’ve listened to resident feedback and made significant enhancements to ensure this project respects the surrounding neighborhoods while delivering meaningful benefits:
Large lakes, dense trees and a 32-foot-tall berm and wall to dampen sound and light
Building positioned 819 feet from West property line and 741 feet from South property line
Amazon will be sole owner and user
No truck traffic on 44th Street; a city-run stoplight camera will ticket drivers who head south on 50th Street and Hiatus Road
Amazon employee shifts will be before and after school zones to limit traffic during these times
2,000-foot-long public linear park on NW 44th Street, greenway extension and bike lanes
